The Green World by Tolkyes The Green World by Tolkyes
Oil on canvas. 18"x24".

Spontaneous biomorphic shapes in an English garden.

The monk reads, oblivious to the strange green and dark world around him. He sits in an outer world on the periphery of our consciousness. A universe like ours, yet unlike ours.

All of your work is incredible, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I think this one is one of the top three. I also really love "At Garden's Edge in November" and "Photosynthesis". Everything is just gorgeous though. =)

You have an interesting site. My favorite colors are intense blue and dark forest green.

Thank you. It was all spontaneous except for part of the fountain and the monk on the bench. For those images I painted from photos.
