Thanks. It was a fun painting to do. My concept was to paint organic forms near the bottom and horizon that would appear solid then become translucent as they reached upward into the blackness of space.
You're welcome, nice job. You succeeded very well in my opinion. I wish I could paint like this. Take a look at my two abstract digital pieces I've done if you have a chance and let me know what you think.
Thank you. This painting was spontaneous and free form but I did have an idea going into it. I wanted to have a night sky with semi-transparent organic imagery in front of it which gradually became more opaque as it lowered down in front of the landscape behind it.
Well, besides modern jazz it's also about space or 'mindscape' music in general- new age, electronic, prog rock and classical. Even Gary Numan has a dark and surreal landscape quality to his music so I think both Vince and Howard could relate to my painting.
Thank you, Josip. Most of my paintings are basically inspired by music and usually a particular song or musical piece.
However, this painting, like my previous painting, "Space Music" (my second painting that I did after "Cold Moon" in 1999) is about music in general. In other words, music abstractlty rendered as painting. Of course, I'm talking mainly about 'space' or 'mindscape' music, such as new age, fusion jazz, prog rock or classical.
