Oil on canvas. 20"x24".

The title, "Nursery" has more than one meaning.
Astronomers refer to nebulas as 'star nurseries' because that is where stars are born. In turn, stars form planets and planets, in turn, can form life.
The space nebulae morph into kudzu vines (which to me look nebulous as well) and then there is the garden or 'nursery' at the bottom of the painting.

Tolkyes has a gallery that can make you drool. I'm glad that Nursery was suggested, otherwise you could pull your hair out try to decide which one you like best. ( Suggested by ~Ghost-of-Raven and Featured by ^deshrubber )

Woah.... I'm not sure what the focal point is supposed to be, my eyes are drawn instantly to the Eagle Nebula, but then I just wanna explore... Its almost like staring at a Bosch painting

Thanks. Bosch is my favorite painter. I'm also fascinated by astronomy.

Thank you. This is my most popular painting. The 'sequel' I painted hasn't received the same attention. I guess this "Nursery" has a certain serenity to it, plus just the right combination of colors.

This is so beautiful. I wish I could go there.
The morphing from the plants to the nebula looks perfect!

Thank you. I noticed that the weird almost anthropomorphic forms that the kudzu vines made were often similar in appearance to nebulae.
