Astronomers refer to nebulas as 'star nurseries' because that is where stars are born. In turn, stars form planets and planets, in turn, can form life.
The space nebulae morph into kudzu vines (which to me look nebulous as well) and then there is the garden or 'nursery' at the bottom of the painting.

Yes, the English language is full of many words with multiple meanings. The universe is one big fish tank of stars, asteroids, and planets that's for sure.
